The number of trans-identifying children and young adults is skyrocketing thanks to social contagion and propaganda in schools, leading more and more minors to seek harmful gender “transition” procedures. Thankfully, an today’s event in California will bring awareness to the immense danger associated with gender ideology and its medical interventions. (Watch the event Live starting at 1 p.m. PT)
It’s no surprise that an increasing number of young people are confused about their gender considering the propaganda espoused by California schools. Last month, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) celebrated “National Day of Reading” by hosting an event for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade students to affirm “transgender and non-binary youth.”
Teachers were told they did not need to inform parents about the event, according to the school’s website. Students completed an activity teaching that gender identity may not match one’s biological sex.
“Non-binary students may feel that neither the word ‘boy’ or ‘girl’ fits for them, they may feel like they are both or neither,” the activity read. “Some non-binary people use pronouns such as they, them and theirs.”
This progressive propaganda, in combination with social media and cultural influences, is the reason thousands of young people desire to sterilize and mutilate their bodies, only to regret it later.
Victims of “gender affirming care” are often mutilated or given cross-sex hormones before a thorough psych analysis from their doctors. After surgery, they can suffer from disfigurement, nerve damage, internal hair growth, and sexual dysfunction, among other side effects.
The cross-sex hormones administered to minors can cause “severe joint pain, osteoporosis, compromised immune systems, thrombosis, heart attack, stroke, and infertility,” reports the Federalist. Their bodies are permanently damaged before their brains are even fully developed. Many victims regret the procedures, but there is no way to reverse the damage that’s been done.
Because of this, dozens of detransitioners are speaking out. Teenage detransitioner Chloe Cole will share her story at today’s event. “I transitioned from the age of 12 up until 16 when I realized it all was a lie. My story is a cautionary tale… I realized the beauty of motherhood was stolen from me. I realized after maturing a bit more that a child does not in fact know who they are at 12 years old. I realized that I wanted to be what I always was and forever will be—a woman,” Chloe says.
Thankfully, Californians have the opportunity to highlight these stories on Detransition Awareness Day today, March 10th. The Daily Wire reported that the event, held at the California State capitol, aims to “honor those harmed by the gender industry and ignored by mainstream media and politicians on the left, bravely exposing the gender industry’s lies.” It is expected to draw a record turnout, and over 20 detransitioners will be in attendance.
The best defenses against this child abuse disguised as “healthcare” are the stories of young people who will live the rest of their lives with deep pain and regret thanks to ideologically driven “medicine.” By attending this event, Californians can show support for detransitioners and help the stories of their tragedy protect others from the same pain and regret.
The event will begin on the west steps of the State Capitol at 1 p.m. Bring an umbrella. It’s supposed to rain.
