California schools have taken their effort to subvert parents a step further. An Oakland high school is creating a “transition closet” where students will be allowed to change out of the clothes that their “parents approved of” and into clothes that align with their gender identities.
The Nonprofit organization in charge of creating the Transition Closet released a statement saying, “We are extremely excited to begin our journey in working with Fremont High School [sic] of Oakland California … The near future holds transition closet(s) and services throughout the school district for students of the Trans/Nonbinary/Intersex and additional LGBTQIA+ Community Members.”
The Transition Closet is working with Oakland Unified School District (OUDS) teacher Thomas Martin-Edwards, who founded the Queer Teacher Fellowship, to implement the initiative.
“The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are,” said Martin-Edwards in a Tik Tok video.
This is completely inappropriate and deceitful. In addition to gender ideology madness, this school is teaching children that it is acceptable to defy their parents.
They are teaching children that their personal thoughts and feelings should surmount the guidance of their God-given authorities. This dangerous sense of individualism threatens to destroy our country.
OUSD and the Transition Closet should be denounced and punished as firmly as possible.
This is one of many stories in which schools are attempting to subvert parents and even hide information from them, especially regarding students’ gender identity. The California Teachers Association even held a conference instructing teachers on how to undermine parents and indoctrinate students with progressive gender ideology.
The good news is that the overwhelming presence of CRT an LGBTQ ideology in public schools has led parents to find new educational settings for their children. From March to September of 2020, the country’s homeschooling rate increased between 5.4% and 11%. Further, the U.S. Department of Education announced that public school enrollment “fell by its largest margin in two decades” between the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years.
This is exactly how parents should respond to leftist insanity infiltrating schools. California teachers are feeding children lies about their identity and distorting their entire worldview. Many of them are completely ignoring opposition from parents and finding ways to hide their agenda.
It’s time to regain control of our children’s growth and development. It’s clear that we can no longer trust California public schools. If our children remain in these schools, we must at least demand change and become deeply involved in our children’s education. Ideally, we should remove our children from public schools and seek different educational opportunities.
Few things impact a child more than their education. What they learn in school will shape who they become. We can’t afford to idly stand by and watch schools corrupt our children.
