Joe Biden Says he Believes in Treating People with “Dignity” yet is Pro-Abortion

Joe Biden has been publicizing his Catholic Christian faith on the campaign trail by stating he believes in treating people with dignity, but apparently that doesn’t apply to preborn babies. Over the past few days, Biden has mentioned words like “dignity” and loving “your neighbor as yourself,” but Biden has ignored the fact that preborn babies are born with the same dignity and rights as anyone else. Biden seems to ignore the fact that preborn babies are our human neighbors just the same as any other human. Vice President Joe Biden has said, “I’m a practicing Catholic. I believe faith is a gift. And the first obligation we all have is, ‘Love your God,’ the second one is, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ … ‘Treat people with dignity.’ Everyone’s entitled to dignity, that’s a basic tenet in my household.”

On his campaign website, Joe Biden has a section entitled, “Joe Biden’s Agenda for the Catholic Community.” The Agenda includes statements like, “Vice President Joe Biden believes that in America, no matter where you start in life, everyone should be able to live up to their God-given potential.”

But at what point does life get a chance at living up it’s potential? Only after it’s been born?

The campaign says Biden wants to “build an economy where everyone comes along and we protect the ‘least of these.’” And he mentions unions but nowhere, mentions protecting preborn babies.

In fact, his agenda for the Catholic community says nothing about being pro-life, and from his comments, it’s clear he is pro abortion. According to Lifenews:

Recently, he said he would be committed to “the constitutional right to an abortion” and “reverse the Trump administration and states’ all-out assault on women’s right to choose.” He also promised to “work to codify Roe v. Wade.” The infamous U.S. Supreme Court decision made the United States one of only seven countries in the world that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

During the presidential debate Sunday on CNN, Biden also said he would force taxpayer to pay for abortions by ending the Hyde Amendment. The decades-old amendment prohibits taxpayer funding of elective abortions in Medicaid.

Biden’s extremes do not stop there. His health care plan would expand abortions as well. The plan would codify Roe v. Wade into federal law, prohibiting states from passing even moderate restrictions that protect unborn babies from late-term abortions. It also would force insurance companies to cover abortions as “essential” health care under Obamacare.

For many Americans, including Catholics, Joe Biden’s positions on abortion are far too extreme.
