The United Nations Human Rights Office is pressuring the United States to promote abortion in the wake of several pro life laws and initiatives passing or making progress recently.
Speaking in an interview with Reuters Television on Wednesday,  U.N. human rights spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said, “We are very concerned that several U.S. states have passed laws severely restricting access to safe abortion for women, including by imposing criminal penalties on the women themselves and on abortion service providers.”
Shamdasani also called pro life legislation “inherently discriminatory,” claiming that it basically targets minorities and impoverished women. She also said that it forces women to undergo back-alley abortions,
âjeopardizing the life, health and safety of the women concerned.â
âSo we are calling on the United States and all other countries to ensure that women have access to safe abortions. At an absolute minimum, in cases of rape, incest and fetal anomaly, there needs to be safe access to abortions,â Shamdasani said.
Shamdasani’s comments are inaccurate. Pro abortion advocates will often claim that they care about the poor, minorities, and women, but African American people especially seem to be targets of abortion. According to Live Action News, in an open letter to former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, âNationally there are 365 black babies aborted for every 1,000 that are born. Blacks account for roughly 38 percent of all abortions in the countryâ though they only represent â13 percent of the population.â Those are some staggering statistics.
Many pro-abortion advocates claim to be feminists, yet the modern-day term has been skewed with lies and deception. Abortion advocates say that a feminist can only be a person who supports a womanâs âright to choose.â If you dare to say youâre a pro-life feminist, these advocates will insist that you donât care about womenâs health.
But please, take a history lesson. The first wave of feminists was pro-life, not pro-abortion. They recognized that it was neither fair nor right to fight so hard for womenâs equality while supporting the right to kill females in the womb.
Shamdasani’s comments about pro life legislation and the pro life movement are wrong. Abortion is the ultimate war on women – and their children for that matter.
