In July of 2015, nearly four years ago, the Center for Medical Progress released their first investigative video exposing Planned Parenthood for their illegal sale of aborted baby parts. The videos consistently featured multiple conversations among numerous Planned Parenthood executives haggling over prices for aborted baby parts, and shocking discussions about grisly abortion methods.
One video contains a conversation between Dr. DeShawn Taylor, the former medical director for Planned Parenthood Arizona and two CMP investigative journalists posing as buyers in the fetal body parts industry.
In the interview Dr. Taylor describes a D&E (Dilation and Evacuation) abortion, the kind which she most frequently performs. According to The Christian Post:
The video also shows Taylor saying she performs elective abortions as late as 24 weeksâ gestation, describing how using forceps to dismember a baby requires much strength.
âMy biceps appreciate when the dig[oxin] (a feticide used in some abortion procedures to induce fetal demise) works,â she explained. âI remember when I was a [family planning] fellow and I was training, I was like, âOh, I have to hit the gym for this,ââ she laughingly remarked.
It interesting to note, however, that a very large portion of Planned Parenthood executives featured in the video are disassociating themselves from Planned Parenthood. Most of the leadership of Planned Parenthood at the time of the videos release are no longer affiliated with the nation’s largest abortion provider.
âPretty much every one who had anything to do with the trafficking of aborted babies is gone from Planned Parenthood, including their CEO Cecile Richards,â said Troy Newman, who served as a founding board member for the CMP while the undercover investigation took place. âThis isnât something that happened right after the videos came out. Planned Parenthood wields a great deal of political power, which probably helped them think they could withstand the negative press, but now that it is clear that some of that shielding influence is waning. Resignations are still taking place.â

In December of 2016 Planned Parenthood was referred for criminal prosecution, which some think has prompted a mass exodus from the organization, up to the very highest ranking member of the company, former President Cecile Richards.
âI believe they are running from prosecution,â said Newman. âPlanned Parenthood has been in a panic since the first video came out. The best defense is a good offense, and that is why they are suing me and other CMP members in Federal Court.â
Currently, Newman and other CMP members, including David Daleiden, Albin Rhomberg, and Sandra Merritt, are locked in a legal battle with Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation, their partners in the baby parts scheme. The abortion corporations are fighting to block the release of an estimated 500 hours of undercover video and ultimately punish financially those who exposed their baby body parts business.
