Planned Parenthood’s Sex Education is Pure Political Indoctrination

Planned Parenthood Disseminates Factually and Medically Inaccurate Information in their Sex Education material.

Planned Parenthood would like for you to believe that having an abortion by means of an abortion or the morning after pill is “safe and very common.” This is quite untrue. Planned Parenthood would like for you to think an abortion is a routine medical operation. This is medically inaccurate. Abortions are gruesome procedures. During a D & E abortion procedure a powerful suction with a force ten to twenty times more powerful than a typical household vacuum cleaner is turned on and the baby is rapidly torn limb from limb by the suction, followed by the placenta. The abortionist then scrapes the lining of the uterus with a long-handled, curved blade to make sure all the limbs and baby parts are removed from the mother’s uterus.

In a Live Action News video featuring Dr. Levatino (himself a former abortionist), Dr. Levatino details what really happens during this type of abortion:

At the abortion clinic or doctor’s office, the woman takes pills which contain mifepristone, also called RU 486. RU 486 blocks the action of a hormone called progesterone. When RU 486 blocks progesterone the lining of the mother’s uterus breaks down, cutting off blood and nourishment to the baby, who then dies inside the mother’s womb. Twenty-four to forty-eight hours after taking RU 486, the woman take misoprostol… that is administered either orally or vaginally. RU 486 and misoprostol together cause severe cramping, contractions, and often heavy bleeding to force the dead baby out of the mother’s uterus. The process can be very intense and painful, and the bleeding and contractions can last from a few hours to several days. While she could lose her baby anytime and anywhere during this process, the woman will often sit on a toilet as she prepares to expel the child, which she will then flush.

Planned Parenthood Encourages Kids to Engage in Harmful Sexual Practices.

All you need to do to verify this is to take a look at Planned Parenthood’s “Masturbation” section. There, Planned Parenthood claims, “It’s totally normal to masturbate (touch yourself for sexual pleasure) whether you’re sexually active with other people or not. Masturbation even has health benefits, like reducing stress.” Planned Parenthood even gives you “tips,” such as to use “a good lubricant,” and cleaning

Planned Parenthood also downplays the seriousness of certain STD’s, saying “They’re really common, and lots of people who have them don’t have any symptoms. STDs can be dangerous, but the good news is that getting tested is no big deal, and most STDs are easy to treat.”

Planned Parenthood Isn’t a Reliable Source for Sex Education.

The short of it all, is that Planned Parenthood isn’t a reliable source for sex education. Planned Parenthood has a very clear agenda – to meet their bottom line by performing as many abortions as possible. For example, part of Planned Parenthood’s sex education says condoms are 98% effective at preventing pregnancy, but in February 2005 issue of Consumer Reports, the non-profit Consumers Union ranked two of Planned Parenthood’s condoms they distribute as the lowest out of all the brands that they tested.

There are over 3,000 not-for-profit pregnancy help centers across America that provide free pregnancy tests, confidential counseling, free ultrasounds, parenting classes, and material support for young mothers and couples. Go here to locate one of these centers: www.optionline.org or call them at 1-800-712-HELP

There are over 13,000 federally funded Community Health Centers across America that provide all the same services as Planned Parenthood, but don’t sell abortions. Services such as STD testing/treatment, pregnancy tests, and routine gynecological exams. Go here to locate one: www.nachc.com/findahealthcenter.cfm
