2019 March for Life Theme: Unique from Day One

Every year, the March for Life announces a new theme for the upcoming march. Last year’s theme was “the power of one,” emphasizing the impact that just one person can have in the difference between life and death for unborn babies.

This year, the President of the March for Life, Jeanne Mancini announced that the theme is  “Unique from Day One: Pro-life is pro-science,” according to a media release posted to the March for Life website.

“Science is behind the pro-life movement. We see that medical and technological advancements always affirm the pro-life movement, for example, DNA is present at fertilization and no fingerprint on earth, past, present, or future, is the same. We know, too, a baby’s heart beats at just six weeks and we can distinctly observe it ourselves with ultrasound technology,” said Jeanne Mancini. “As science progresses, we see clearly that every life is unique from day one in the womb.”

“Life in its most vulnerable form, should be protected,” continued Mancini.  “To this end, we hope that Patients First Act, HR 2918, and similar legislation preserving the dignity of the human person from its earliest moments, will soon become law.”

The upcoming March for Life will be held on January 18, 2019 and will be the forty-sixth annual event. So far, popular conservative apologist, and Founder and Editor of the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro as well as Abby Johnson, Founder of And Then There Were None, have been confirmed as speakers at the 2019 March for Life.

The March for Life is the world’s largest human rights demonstration. Every year, hundreds of thousands of individuals gather together to peacefully protest abortion starting at the National Mall and ending near the steps of the United States Supreme Court.
