Judge Kavanaugh is getting a lot of attention during his Senate confirmation hearings. There was a big fuss raised by Democrats and pro-abortionists through now Supreme Court Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation process, but pro-abortionists are pulling out all the stops to try and prevent Judge Kavanaugh from filling a seat on the bench. Democrats apparently are extremely worried that the Supreme Court will have a good chance of overturning Roe v. Wade if Judge Kavanaugh gains the vacant seat of Justice Anthony Kennedy whom he previously clerked for.
Two time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has even spoken out against Judge Kavanaugh. Clinton has always supported radical abortion laws during her previous unsuccessful presidential campaigns.
“If Brett Kavanaugh becomes a Supreme Court justice, will he help gut or overturn Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in America? Yes, of course he will,” Clinton wrote on Twitter.
Clinton continued: “A few weeks before Kavanaugh’s name appeared on President Trump’s short list for a new justice, Kavanaugh praised the dissent in the Roe v. Wade case and called former Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist his ‘hero,’ noting that ‘he clearly wanted to overrule Roe.’”
This was just the start of a Twitter rant eight tweets long by Hillary Clinton. However her tweets backfired with many Twitter users expressing their disgust with abortion.
Another Twitter user expressed his hope that Judge Kavanaugh would be confirmed, referring to abortion as exactly what it is – murder.
Another Twitter user expressed his gratification that Hillary had not won the election.
Thankfully, Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation chances are very good. All that Kavanaugh needs is for all the Republican Senators (who have the slight majority) to support him. It is likely that several Democrats will cross over traditional party lines and support his confirmation.
Kavanaugh has served on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for D.C. for more than a decade, where he developed an extensive record of protecting religious liberty and enforcing restrictions on abortion. Pro-life leaders believe he would do the same on the Supreme Court.
So far, Judge Kavanaugh has successfully defended himself from Democratic attacks and there have been no major surprises during the confirmation hearings thus far.
“A good judge must be an umpire — a neutral and impartial arbiter who favors no litigant or policy,” Judge Kavanaugh said, according to the Washington Times. “I am not a pro-plaintiff or pro-defendant judge. I am not a pro-prosecution or pro-defense judge. I am a pro-law judge.”
