The Past Century was by Far the Most Tragically Bloody for Preborn Babies

President Ronald Reagan said, “We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life – the unborn – without diminishing the value of all human life. … There is no cause more important.”

The current world population is roughly 7.4 billion. Sadly, in the past century the number of abortions performed around the world equals the rough equivalent of one seventh of the world’s population. The ratio is .01 billion abortions compared to a population of 7.4 billion.

The ratio is even higher in the United States, with “the total number is roughly the equivalent of one sixth of the present US population.” The ratios is 58 million abortions compared to the current population of 324 million.

Recently, President Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy, which effectively prohibits federal taxpayer dollars from being used to promote or perform international abortions. This action by President Trump is an encouraging step towards his promise to defund organizations like Planned Parenthood. Once abortion is publicly defunded in America, it will go a long way toward restoring a general respect for the sanctity of human life internationally.
